Straight answers.
We publish the questions people actually ask before hiring us, and we answer them the way we would on a call.
Can we use grant funds to pay for this?
Yes, in nearly every case.
Outreach and education are funded activities under both of the programs we work in most.
Under the SSG Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program, outreach and education are named services, and VA scores whether outreach was effective at increasing engagement when it evaluates renewal. The work is not incidental to the grant. It is part of what the grant is for.
Under the national opioid settlements, prevention and education sit among the approved abatement uses in Exhibit E, and prevention is consistently one of the largest spending categories jurisdictions report.
Your grant officer makes the final determination, and that is exactly where most vendors leave you. We do the opposite. We write the scope of work to map directly to your approved use categories, we structure deliverables so each one is traceable to an allowable activity, and we build the documentation as we go rather than reconstructing it at reporting time.
If your grant officer needs a scope reviewed before you commit, send it to us. We will write it in the language your award uses.
What is the smallest budget this works with?
$8,500.
That is the Reach Audit, and it is a complete deliverable rather than a sales exercise. You receive a service-area map, a channel gap analysis, a baseline cost per qualified referral, a message risk register, and a scoped recommendation. If you never work with us again, the baseline is yours and it belongs in your next application.
For a full campaign, the smallest engagement we run is $24,000 to $32,000. That builds on an existing regional campaign core and localizes it to your community, which is why it costs a fraction of building from scratch.
If you have less than that, tell us anyway. Sometimes the right answer is that you should spend the money on something else this year, and we would rather say so than sell you a piece of something that only works whole.
Do you work directly, or through a prime?
Both, routinely.
We hold GSA Schedule 47QRAA18D006M and contract directly with federal agencies, state agencies, counties, and grantees.
We also subcontract. We are a verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, which means a prime carrying small business subcontracting goals gets real credit for our participation, and our VA behavioral health past performance is not easy to source elsewhere. We have delivered federal behavioral health video production as a subcontractor under a firm fixed price contract with a designated Contracting Officer’s Representative.
If you are assembling a team and need a behavioral health outreach partner, we are set up for that conversation and we move quickly on it.
We already have a campaign. What then?
Then we start by finding out whether it is working.
We do not open engagements by telling you to throw away work your team is proud of. The Reach Audit assesses what exists: where your materials are reaching people, where they are not, what your current cost per qualified referral is, and whether anything in the creative would fail a safe-messaging review.
Often the finding is that the creative is fine and the distribution is the problem. That is a much cheaper fix than a rebuild, and we will tell you so even though the rebuild is the larger contract.
Sometimes the finding is that the campaign is speaking to the wrong audience, or asking for an action nobody can actually take. That is worth knowing before you spend another year on it.
Either way, you make the decision with data instead of instinct.
How long until we see results?
About four months to a campaign in market. Thirty days after that to your first referral data.
Here is the actual schedule.
The Reach Audit runs three weeks. The Message System takes six to eight weeks from approved scope to delivered assets. Localization and first deployment adds roughly four weeks, depending on how quickly your participants can be scheduled.
Referral data begins arriving within 30 days of launch. Meaningful trend data, enough to act on rather than react to, arrives at 90 days. Year-over-year comparison arrives when you have a full year, which is why the baseline from the audit matters so much.
Anyone who promises you results faster than that is either skipping the research or skipping the review. Both show up later, and neither is recoverable.
Who reviews the creative before it goes out?
Every asset passes a documented review, and you receive the record.
Messaging about suicide, trauma, and substance use is governed by published safe-messaging standards, and for a concrete reason. Creative that lands wrong in this category does not simply underperform. It can move someone further from care.
We apply the Action Alliance Framework for Successful Messaging, Suicide Prevention Resource Center guidance, SAMHSA person-first language standards, Section 508 accessibility requirements, and defined plain-language readability thresholds. Where your organization operates under its own governing guidance, from a VA facility, a state authority, or your grant’s terms, that guidance controls and we build to it.
Review happens at four points: strategy before concepting, concept before production, asset before release, and participant protection any time a real person speaks about their own experience.
You receive a message risk register, a review record, and a compliance summary you can attach to a grant report or an audit response.
And where a campaign reaches a population or a clinical question beyond our experience, we say so and we bring in someone who holds that expertise. We would rather name the boundary than let you assume there is not one.
