Capabilities

Full Capabilities / Mission Acceleration

Mission
Acceleration

A plan you can act on, and a system that runs it.

Most strategy work ends with a document nobody uses. It gets presented, everyone nods, and six months later the same problem is still there because nothing in the document told anyone what to do on Monday.

We build the other kind.

The Mission Acceleration Blueprint is a costed plan you can execute, with us or without us. The Acceleration Ecosystem is what running it looks like when we stay.

The Model

Four phases. Same four whether the budget is fifteen thousand dollars or a million. What changes is depth, not sequence.

Phase 0101

DISCOVER

Who the audience actually is, what they already believe, and what is stopping them.

Phase 0202

DEFINE

What you are asking people to do, and how you will know whether it worked.

Phase 0303

ACTIVATE

Build the work and put it in front of the people the strategy named.

Phase 0404

ACCELERATE

Watch what happens monthly and move resources toward what is working.

The work in progress. Discovery session, storyboard, or review pass.
Why

Why we work this way

Twenty+ years of campaigns taught us that most of them fail for the same three reasons, and none of them are creative reasons.

Nobody checked who the audience actually is.

They checked who the organization wishes the audience was.

Nobody decided what success meant before the work started.

So whatever moved got called the result.

Nobody changed anything after launch.

The campaign ran until the budget ran out.

The four phases exist to close those three gaps. Discover checks the audience. Define sets the measure before the creative. Activate builds it. Accelerate makes it change.

Offers

Two purchases. Buy the half you need.

Fixed scope, fixed price, and the same structure as every other offer on this site.

Blueprint. The plan you own.
Ecosystem. The work in market.
Phases 01 and 02

The Mission Acceleration Blueprint

The front half, sold on its own.

Duration

Four to eight weeks

Price

$6,500 – $12,500

Organizations come to us for this when something is not landing and they cannot tell whether the problem is the message, the audience, or the channel. Usually they have a theory. Usually the theory is wrong, and finding that out is the cheapest thing we do for them.

What we do

We interview your people and, more importantly, your audience. We look at what you have already run and what it produced. We map the landscape you are competing in for attention. Then we decide what you are actually asking people to do, what has to be true for them to do it, and how you will know whether it worked.

What you receive

A findings document written in plain language. Audience segments with the evidence behind them. A message architecture your whole team can execute against. A channel and media strategy with costs attached. A measurement plan with defined terms, agreed before any creative exists.

And a costed plan you own.

Take it to another firm. Run it in house. Put it in a grant application. It is yours either way, and we will hand over the working files if you ask.

We say that plainly because a plan you cannot use without us is not a plan. It is a hostage.

Phases 03 and 04

The Acceleration Ecosystem

The back half, running continuously.

Duration

Six to twelve month terms

Price

TBD

This is the ongoing relationship, and it is where most of our long clients live. Some of them for well over a decade.

What we do

Build the work and put it in front of people. Creative, video, digital, print, media planning and placement. Then watch what happens, monthly, and move resources toward what is working.

What you receive

Produced assets across the channels the strategy calls for. A performance dashboard with source attribution. A monthly working session where we look at the numbers together and decide what changes. Quarterly reporting written for whoever you have to report to, whether that is a board, a funder, or a council.

And a campaign that changes after launch.

A campaign that does not change after launch was not a campaign. It was an announcement.

Certified

The Ecosystem runs on the PESO Model (Paid, Earned, Shared, Owned properties). We hold current certifications in paid search, analytics, and email, so the reporting comes from people who work in the platforms rather than around them.

Sequence

How the two fit together

Most clients start with the Blueprint and continue into the Ecosystem. That is the natural sequence and it is how we would recommend it.

But they are separate purchases on purpose.

Some organizations need a plan and have the team to run it. Some have a plan already and need execution capacity. A few need us to look at what they have and tell them it is fine, which happens more than you would expect, and we would rather say that than sell a rebuild.

Adjacent

Where this fits with the Outreach Operating System

The Outreach Operating System is this framework, built specifically for organizations funded to reach a defined population and accountable for proving they did. Grantees, county health departments, community services boards, state agencies.

Same four phases. Fixed scope, fixed price, and a measurement layer built around qualified referrals and grant reporting, because that is what those organizations are graded on.

If your funding carries a service area and a reporting obligation, start there instead.

Fit

Who this is right for

Organizations with something worth saying and a specific group of people who need to act on it. Colleges. Associations. Advocacy organizations. Nonprofits carrying a mission bigger than their communications budget.

We have done this work for a foundation raising capital for displaced families in Iraq, for a college competing for students in the hardest enrollment market in fifty years, and for advocacy organizations that needed a message to travel further than their staff could carry it.

Fit

Who it is not right for

If you need a logo and a website, we are more firm than you need and you will not enjoy the invoice.

If you want someone to execute a plan you have already decided on without questioning it, we are the wrong choice. Questioning it is most of what you are paying for.

And if your problem is that the program itself is not working, communications will not fix that, and we will tell you so during the Blueprint rather than at the end of a campaign.

Megaphone

Video and employer brand

A suite of videos built to show a competitive hiring market what the culture inside Megaphone actually looked like, produced for talent acquisition rather than brand awareness. Megaphone was later acquired by Spotify.

“STRIVE3 just crushed it with our videos that helped highlight our corporate culture for our talent acquisition efforts.”

Brandan Monaghan, CEO, Megaphone

Trust for the National Mall

Campaign strategy and activation

Creative direction and messaging for major donor and corporate sponsor outreach on behalf of the organization preserving the most visited national park in the country, including development of a new membership program along the lines of Friends of the Smithsonian.

“STRIVE3’s teams were well suited to lead the Trust’s efforts to engage with thousands of constituents. The company is adept at managing large-scale outreach campaigns and major projects.”

Stephen Saunders, Vice President of Philanthropy, Trust for the National Mall

Save the American Dream

Brand development and strategic planning

When pandemic lockdowns left small business owners without a reliable place to find operating guidance, STRIVE3 built one. Concept, nonprofit start-up, and campaign for savetheamericandream.com, a centralized portal that drew an audience and national attention.

“The efforts of the STRIVE3 team to make this mission a reality was great to witness.”

Board member, Alliance to Save the American Dream

Client quotes as published. STRIVE3 claims the strategy, creative, and production.

Start with a conversation

Thirty minutes. Tell us what is not landing and we will tell you whether we think the problem is the message, the audience, or the channel. If we think you can solve it without us, we will say that.
